
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - It was a cold and dark start to Halloween for thousands of Wisconsinites who lost their power during the snow and wind storms overnight.
Wisconsin Public Service saw hundres of electric customers in the dark starting around 3:30 a.m. Friday. About two-thirds of those were at Bailey's Harbor in Door County, where the strongest winds have taken place along the Lake Michigan and Green Bay shores.
As of 2 p.m., most folks in Door County had their power turned back on. In Green Bay, more than 1,000 customers are still without power.

WPS wants you to call them at (800) 450-7240 if you see a downed line and to stay away from them.
Almost 100 customers were out at Boulder Junction in the far north.
Wisconsin Power and Light had almost 700 outages in Dane and Fond du Lac counties. Madison was not affected as of 7 a.m., when the city's utility reported just one outage.
