TOWN OF RED SPRINGS, WI (WTAQ) - Authorities in Shawano County say a state highway construction worker has died after being hit by a van Tuesday.
Sheriff's deputies said in a release that a 31-year-old construction worker from Shawano was directing traffic to one lane at the intersection of Highway 47 and County Highway G just before noon.
A van driving south on Highway 41 hit the worker. The van was driven by a 68-year-old Tigerton man.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash.
