APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - Appleton police say they've arrested a teenager who confessed to the armed robbery of two convenience stores Saturday.
Authorities say the 17-year-old was taken into custody after a group of Lawrence University students reported a person matching his description displayed a gun on E. College Avenue.
The loaded gun was found in the suspects' waistband by officers when they arrested him around 7:30 p.m.
Officers say the teen also admitted to stealing a purse at knifepoint and stealing a vehicle from a downtown Appleton parking ramp on Thursday night.
Authorities say that vehicle has been recovered, and no one was hurt during any of the robberies.
The teenager is facing multiple charges and is currently behind bars.
