TOWN OF MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) - Police in the Town of Menasha say a woman who passed out in her car was arrested after telling officers she had been using heroin.

Around 10 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the intersection of Highway 441 and Racine Road. When cops arrived, they found a car stuck in a snow bank.

Witnesses at the scene told them the car was stopped at a green light, and when they tried to check on the driver, the car slowly went forward, crossed the median and the opposite lane of traffic and ended up in the snow.

Emergency crews treated the driver at the scene. Police say the 29-year-old Appleton woman admitted using heroin just before she passed out. She was arrested on her second OWI offense, along with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Police say she was also on probation after being previously convicted of delivering heroin.
