TOWN OF MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) - Police in the Town of Menasha have arrested one person in connection with a man's death Thursday.
Authorities were called around 10:40 a.m. to an apartment in the 2500 block of Wilson Court.
A neighbor said they checked on a man who hadn't been seen or heard from that morning, and the neighbor thought the man was dead. Officers found the 68-year-old man, who lived alone, dead in the apartment.
According to investigators, a burglary of the man's apartment led to his death. Later Thursday afternoon, authorities identified and interviewed a suspect. That suspect was taken to jail on a probation hold.
Police say the suspect doesn't have a permanent address and had been staying with relatives in the same apartment complex.
Authorities say an autopsy is scheduled for Friday and formal charges are possible next week. Officers say this appears to be an isolated incident and they do not think anyone else is in danger.
