Salvation Army of Brown County releases Christmas Assistance interview dates

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - It's not just the retailers getting ready for the holiday season.

The Salvation Army of Brown County is announcing their schedule of Christmas Assistance interviews for families in need.

The interviews will take place at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center, 626 Union Court, on these dates:

  • Tuesday October 7 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • Monday October 13 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday October 21 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
  • Saturday October 25 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. (That's the last day to sign up for the Coats for Kids Program)

Christmas Assistance interviewing will happen at The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, 1315 Lime Kiln Road, on Wednesday December 3 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Officials say that in order to sign up for Christmas Assistance, the parent or guardian must bring the following: a picture ID for all adults in the household, proof of current address (like a rent receipt or utility bill) and birth certificate or other verification of birth dates for all children in the household.

Volunteers will be signing up families in need for coats, toys and food baskets.

Distribution for the Coats for Kids program will happen on November 8. The Toys for Tots and food basket distribution will take place on December 17 and 18.
