APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - An unusual situation in Appleton Tuesday as two police officers, a K-9 and a suspect fall through the ceiling of a home.

Police responded to a house in the 3100 block of North Durkee Street around 5:30 p.m. to find a 20-year-old man who had a warrant out for his arrest.

Officers say the man refused to come out of the home, but were able to safely evacuate a woman before going inside.

The suspect was located hiding in the attic of the home with help of the police K-9. When officers went to put handcuffs on the man, the floor gave way, and they all fell through.

Police say they do not believe anyone was seriously injured.

Authorities say the man was wanted in connection with a domestic violence case. He is being held in the Outagamie County Jail.
