OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - The man accused of murdering a three-year-old girl in the Town of Menasha has waived his preliminary hearing.
Online court records show that Ryan Jorgenson will enter his plea to the charge of first-degree reckless homicide on July 11.
According to the criminal complaint, first reponders were told by Jorgenson that the toddler fell down the stairs on May 14. However, doctors found the girl suffered brain hemorrhaging consistent with being thrown, slammed down or shaken. She was later taken off of life support.
Police say Jorgenson admitted to shoving the girl toward the stairs and she fell. The complaint goes on to show that he told another jail inmate he, "did a very bad thing" and "hurt that little girl."
