GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A man has been sentenced to jail time and probation after being convicted of having sexual contact with a student.
Online court records show Adam Mathewson was convicted of two misdemeanor counts of having sex with a child age 16 or older. He was given 30 days in jail and 2 years probation.
Mathewson helped at West De Pere High School's band camp and later volunteered at the school twice a week. He admitted to police he was at his apartment with the teen on two weekends last fall, according to the criminal complaint.
Mathewson will not have to register as a sex offender.
