
APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - Charges have been filed against a Kimberly man in connection with the armed robbey of a cab driver in Appleton.
Authorities say it happened near the corner of E. Newberry Street and N. Briarcliff Drive on the night of February 7.
The 31-year-old cabbie told police that a passenger had stolen his cash at knifepoint. The driver suffered minor injuries.
During the investigation, police identified a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Last Friday, 20-year-old Konstantin C. VanGrinsven was arrested during a traffic stop in Manitowoc County.
Cops say VanGrinsven admitted to the robbery.
