
BELLEVUE, WI (WTAQ) - Brown County sheriff’s are looking for three people involved in allegedly using counterfeit money in Bellevue Aug. 13.
Authorities say one woman tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill at Target on Lime Kiln Rd. around 1:15 p.m. Investigators say the cashier refused to accept the bill.
The suspect is the person seen in the multi-colored dress in the photos above.
About 10 minutes later, another woman successfully used a fake $100 bill to make a $14.77 purchase. Store security told deputies the bill appeared to have been a $5 bill originally.
The suspect, wearing a denim vest and holding a light-colored purse, and her suspected accomplice can be seen in the photos above.
All three were seen leaving in the vehicle seen in the photo above.
