GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - 63-thousand-plus Green Bay Packers fans gathered under the lights of Lambeau for the annual Family Night scrimmage Saturday.
In the first series, quarterback Aaron Rodgers led a 10-play, 80-yard drive – connecting to tight end D.J. Williams for a 7 yard touchdown pass.
The spotlight was on rookie running backs Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin, who got a decent number of carries (17 for Lacy, 15 for Franklin). Coaches and teammates have been impressed with Lacy, a second-round draft pick from Alabama.
Quarterback B.J. Coleman says Lacy will be “a huge weapon for us (Packers)”.
