GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Green Bay Packers fans from across the country have flocked to Ray Nitschke Field Friday for the start of training camp.
For many, it's an annual tradition that brings dreams of Super Bowl glory.
The first whistle for practice blew at 8:20 a.m. The team practiced in shells - not in full pads.
Many fans have to get to Ray Nitschke Field early to locate the best spot on the bleachers or to find the best place along the fence.

One surprise Friday was that second-year corner Casey Hayward was not practicing – and neither was corner Davon House. The reasons were not immediately known.
Linebacker Jamari Lattimore also did not practice. He was reported as having a non-football illness.
Seven other players – including defensive end Mike Neal and running back DuJuan Harris – failed their physicals Thursday, and are on the team’s physically unable to perform list.
Harris is getting over lung surgery to contain a cyst. It was not immediately known what happened to Neal, who practiced at outside linebacker during some of the Packers’ off-season workouts.
The team will continue to have early morning practices for most of the next week. The Packers’ annual Family Night is a week from Saturday night at Lambeau Field.
