GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - We are just days away from Wisconsin's Presidential Primary elections and the candidates are making stops in Northeast Wisconsin.
The 3 Republicans appeared on WTAQ's Jerry Bader Show Monday morning.
Republican Presidential front-runner Donald Trump is planning to spend the week in Wisconsin, ahead of next Tuesday's Primary election.
The New York business mogul was short on specifics for a number of his campaign promises...but he does say he'll get the money from Mexico to build a wall along the border to stem the tide of illegal immigration....even if Mexico refuses to pay.
"I would take it out on a form of tax I would put on goods coming in from Mexico, absolutely."
And, in the increasingly bitter fued with Republican opponent Ted Cruz, Trump still maintains that Cruz knew about the plan to release the nude photo of his wife.
"He knew 100 % that that picture was....you know that's why we call him lying Ted."
Trump did back off the claim of cheating when it comes to delegates that went to other candidates when he won the Louisiana Primary. But he does say the system of delegate selection needs to be reviewed.
Trump is planning to hold a Town Hall rally in Green Bay on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Republican Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) started campaigning in Northeast Wisconsin last week.
During his appearance on the Jerry Bader Show, Cruz said his top priority, should he win the Novmber election is to bring jobs back to America. Part of doing that is cutting federal red tape.
"And we'll see small business take off, we'll see jobs exploding and wages rising. that's what this election is about."
Cruz says jobs is one of the three pillars of his campaign.
"I believe this next election is going to focus on three core issues. number one, jobs....number two, freedom and number three, security."
Cruz says he brings a positive, experienced approach to the election. He also slammed Trump for personal attacks and for not having the solutions for America's problems.
Ohio Governor John Kasich says national security sets him apart from fellow Republicans Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. He tells Jerry Bader It would star with a boots on the ground campaign with allies to wipe out ISIS.
"And I'm not talking about having a war from the air...making the sand blow. that just shows you don't know what you're talking about."
He says another thing don't do in this kind of fight is alienate an entire religion.
"You want to find out what's going on in the Muslim community, by and large. you'd better have some people in there that support you, that can tell you about the things they see that are very disruptive."
Kasich says he's also more qualified on economic issues, turning Ohio budget deficits around and creating jobs..
As for his current 3rd place status behind Trump and Cruz, Kasich says he's not going to be dropping out of the race.
He also thinks he's winning votes by not getting into the mud-slinging that has marked the Donald Trump and Ted Cruz campaigns.
