GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Officials with the Wisconsin DOT are warning drivers to prepare for heavy traffic and road construction if you're heading to or near Saturday's Kenny Chesney concert at Lambeau Field.

The DOT says I-41 in Brown County from Oneida Street, north to Suamico and adjacent roadways and intersections are under construction. Drivers should expect barrier walls, orange barrels, lane closures, narrow lanes and heavy traffic from concert goers.

It's advised drivers should avoid I-41 via the Oneida Street interchange in Ashwaubenon before and after the concert.

Here is a list of the major roads in northeast Wisconsin most concert goers will be traveling as they head for the concert and the road conditions they should anticipate:

  • I-41 and Oneida Street Interchange and Oneida Street -- Oneida Street under I-41 is under construction. Only one lane is open on Oneida Street northbound and southbound on Oneida Street. This area will experience backups and long delays. Drivers should find another interchange access point to get to Lambeau Field prior to the concert and onto I-41 following the concert.
  • Motorists can use Ashland, Lombardi, WIS 172, Mason Street or Shawano Avenue as an access point onto city streets heading toward Lambeau Field.
  • I-41 Mainline -- All construction on I-41 project will cease on Saturday, although barrier walls, narrow lanes and orange barrels will be present in various locations.
  • Brown County -- Drivers will encounter 11-foot travel lanes and reduced shoulders in multiple locations along a 10-mile segment of highway. The speed limit is reduced to 55 mph from just south of Grant Street to Lineville Road. Temporary barrier wall at various locations will cause traffic to slow.
  • Winnebago and Outagamie County -- Drivers should expect portions of I-41 in Winnebago County to WIS 15 in Outagamie County to be restricted to two lanes in each direction. Drivers will encounter reduced speed limits on I-41 and WIS 441. Please expect congestion and slow travel.
  • I-41 and WIS 172 Interchange -- All ramps are open, but motorists should expect congestion and potential delays at this interchange, especially following the concert.
  • I-43 and I-41 Interchange -- Northbound I-41 ramp to southbound I-43 is CLOSED until the end of August, 2015 for construction of the new I-41 northbound lanes. Please plan an alternate route.
  • I-43 Mainline -- I-43 between Atkinson Drive and I-41 is reduced to one lane of travel. Please expect congestion and slow travel.

Madison, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker told potential campaign donors today (FRI) he's still praying over whether to run for the presidency -- but he believes he's "uniquely qualified" to lead the nation.

The Republican Walker sent out a fund-raising e-mail in advance of his speech tomorrow to the Faith-and-Freedom Coaliton's Road-to-Majority policy conference in Washington.

The governor has spent months raising money, building a campaign network, traveling to various G-O-P functions around the country, and boning up on foreign affairs.

Walker said last November he would only run if he felt called to do so.  His e-mail asked supporters if he should run, and that he's been praying about it for a long time.

Walker also took indirect swipes at Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton and G-O-P candidate Jeb Bush, writing that he "didn't inherit fame or fortune ... and I don't think being president is by birthright."

Also tomorrow (SAT, Walker is expected to attend the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference in Philadelphia.

MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) - Folks in eastern Wisconsin continue to remember Amy Krueger, the National Guard staff sergeant from Kiel who was among those killed at Fort Hood in 2009.

A crowd gathered Sunday in Manitowoc to remember the staff sergeant who was among 13 soldiers -- and two Wisconsinites -- murdered by a gunman. The Wisconsin unit was training for a medical-related mission in Afghanistan at the time.

The third annual "Kruegsfest" took place at T.J.'s Sports Bar and Grill. FOX 11 said it's where Krueger played lots of volleyball -- and her family still performs a variety of music.

Numerous musical acts performed Sunday and Sunday evening.

The event raised money for a number of Wisconsin veterans' causes. That includes Milwaukee's Fisher House, which provides housing for military families close to loved ones who are hospitalized for injuries, diseases, and other illnesses.

Except for La Crosse, the entire state was dry as of 2:30 p.m., giving utility crews a chance to turn the lights back on.

About 16,000 We Energies' customers in Metro Milwaukee were without power at last word. Around 5,600 Wisconsin Power and Light customers in Grant County were also out -- along with a combined 5,400 Public Service customers in Eagle River, Tomahawk, Crivitz, and Elcho in far northern Wisconsin.

La Crosse was the only area in the state reporting rain as of mid-afternoon.

Another round of storms was due in late this afternoon and evening, with more severe weather a possibility.
