LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) - The Fox Valley officially has a new day care for people with special needs.

A Very Special Place opened Tuesday in the same Little Chute location as the former Haven of Hope, which closed abruptly back in August.

The new facility will provide care for people with physical, intellectual, behavioral and developmental disabilities.

After Haven of Hope shut its doors, parents in need of a place to send their children decided to come together and open a new facility.

"It's amazing what we've been able to accomplish in just a couple of months," says Executive Director Lorraine Yarbrough. "So many people have pitched in, by volunteering, raising money and donating supplies and equipment."

The Nicolet Bank Foundation has also announced a $25,000 grant for A Very Special Place.

"A Very Special Place is the kind of organization we are glad to support, since they perform such a vital function," said Nicolet VP Jeff Gahnz.

It's located at 1000 W. Main Street, and will provide both daycare and respite services, with plans to offer residential services beginning in March.

APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - Fox Valley police wrapped up a seven-month investigation into a Little Chute man accused of having sex with a teenage runaway from Sun Prairie.

33-year-old Brian Hansmann appeared in court Tuesday on 10 charges, including 7 felonies.

Last May, Fox Valley Metro Police were called to Hansmann's Elm Drive apartment for a reported runaway from Sun Prairie. After authorities interviewed the 16-year-old girl and examining computer files, the charges were requested.

According to the criminal complaint, the 16-year-old girl told police she met Hansmann online. She also said Hansmann picked her up in Sun Prairie, and that she told him she was actually 19.

The teen claims she and Hansmann had sex three times at his Little Chute home. That's where police found her, after she'd been reported missing.

The complaint goes on to reveal that police found nearly 400 videos involving father-daughter sexual relations on Hansmann's cell phone. Police also discovered text messages indicating Hansmann wanted to do sexual things with his 4-year-old daughter. However, the complaint doesn't say any sexual acts took place.

Also found were nude photos of a 17-year-old Ripon girl and she tells police that she also met Hansmann online.

In court, Hansmann’s bond was set at $100,000 dollars cash. He was arrested on Monday.

Hansmann’s attorney said in court his client maintains his innocence on all of the charges.

ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) - The suspect allegedly involved in a post-game fight outside of an Ashwaubenon bar has made his first court appearance.

30-year-old Jose Luis Retana-Echeverria, who lives in Lac du Flambeau, was arrested Tuesday night in Vilas County.

Retana-Echeverria appeared in Brown County Court Wednesday on charges of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct.

Packers-Seahawks ticket prices dip slightly

SEATTLE (WTAQ) - The good news for Packer road warriors is that ticket prices are coming down for Sunday's NFC Championship Game in Seattle.

The bad news is that the cheapest seat is still around $400, after fees and taxes are added in.

If you don't need a seat with a back on it, StubHub was selling standing room tickets for as low as $318 at mid-morning. End zone bleacher seats were going for $327, including fees.

The ticket search engine TiqIQ said the average price for game tickets was $689 Wednesday, on top of what you might pay for a flight and a hotel room.

If you go, however, you'll be far from the only Cheesehead there. TiqIQ said 14 percent of all nationwide ticket sales for the Seattle game are from buyers in Wisconsin. Just over a quarter of all the site's traffic is from the Badger State.

The Packers and Seahawks will play at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday for a chance to advance to the Super Bowl.

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Brown County District Attorney David Lasee says he's requesting a special prosecutor look at the campaign finance audit of Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt.

"I had indicated when I requested a special prosecutor, I was looking for someone to handle it in a time-sensitive way," Lasee told WTAQ Wednesday. "I would anticipate that whoever looks at it will be able to do it quickly so that the issue is resolved one way or the other."

Lasee confirmed that the special prosecutor will be in the Milwaukee County district attorney's office. He also says he wanted to avoid any appearance of impropriety.

Last week, Mayor Schmitt and 3 Green Bay Aldermen both requested the audit. That happened after a media report showing Schmitt may have illegally accepted $10,000 in his campaign fund.

City council members Chris Wery, Guy Zima and Andy Nicholson say they all want clean elections. Schmitt has said he wants any questions of illegal activity to be put to rest through this audit.

OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - A promotional products retailer in Oshkosh says they are expanding and will hire new employees because of it.

4imprint says they plan on building a 100,000-square foot addition at its west side distribution center, and lease another 25,000-square feet next to its headquarters in downtown Oshkosh.

The $8 to $9 million expansion will help 4imprint keep up with increased demand as well as provide space for its free promotional products sample programs, embroidered apparel products and distribution workers. Company officials add the headquarters expansion will create room for more employees.

Rosie Campbell learns her fate for role in Greenville murder case

APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - A woman will spend five-and-a-half years in prison for her role in the murder of Lara Plamann of Greenville back in 2007.

40-year-old Rosie Campbell was convicted of criminal damage to property and theft, after accepting a plea deal which dropped a homicide charge. Campbell was also put on extended supervision for two years.

The Minnesota woman agreed to testify against two other defendants in the case, Dianna and Kandi Siveny.

As the judge announced the sentence Thursday, Campbell collapsed in her chair. She returned a few minutes later in a wheelchair, with her attorney saying she had suffered a seizure.

55-year-old Dianna Siveny and her 35-year-old daughter Kandi are both charged with first-degree intentional homicide. Investigators say that Dianna and Plamann were partners. Siveny allegedly offered Campbell $5,000 to kill the 30-year-old Plamann because prosecutors say that Siveny believed Plamann was cheating on her.

After Campbell backed out of the deal, police say Kandi allegedly shot Plamann at her home in Greenville.

Police say in 2003, Campbell confessed and said she witnessed the murder. However, Campbell refused to testify last August, even with an immunity offer on the table.

Last year, a judge ordered both Sivenys released on bond, saying the state violated their right to a speedy trial. They had been in jail since their February 2013 arrests.

Kandi Siveny is set to stand trial next month; her mother’s trial begins in June.
